The place was okay.

Dinner was the best and the performance on Monday night topped it all.

Water pressure was low on other days and they were not allowing our car to enter so we had to walk a long way to the gate and in the sun.

Natural & friendly Resort

Spotless clean room. Very natural, friendly, helpful and warm staff. Excellent customer service. Super clean and complete fitness center. Beautiful tropical gardens and clean swimming pools. Nice restaurant with sea view.

The hotel should inform guests, when a fumigation is forseen, as some people are sensible to the quemicals and could get sick of it.

True five star experience, excellent stay in a brand new resort.

It’s a brand new resort, true five star experience in any sense. Spread on large space so guests do not feel crowded in any way. They have a nice sandy beach about 2m from sea level as coast is like this. However you easily go for a great swim experience on the stairs they built. Swimming on the sunset light reflected on water was excellent. Water not too dip when tide not at highest, so even kids can swim there. Beach is trully private as part of the resort land, which is rare in Zanzibar. Events every evening next to beach area are good quality, either music or dance shows. Great breakfast, we loved the fresh fruits, fresh juices. Breakfast space is fabuluous.

Perhaps adding a bit more new dishes for breakfast. There is large variety and they rotate dishes so you don’t have same meals each day though.

Disconnect from the real world

The staff was extraordinary and the hotel have great commodities!

All inclusive does not include all the drinks and after certain hours you cannot drink off charges, on my understanding that’s not all inclusive.

Not a luxury accommodation but a fair price for a 4 star hotel

The overall experience was good, not a 5 star, probably a 4 star resort. The food was always abundant and good however a bit overpriced. The surroundings and the cliff very nice. the staff always kind.

The room was nice but the bathroom wasn't comfortable, they've chose cheap materials and always smelled like sewage. Not a luxury experience.

Staff were lovely , specially Wilfred at reception but there wasn’t much to do on the resort.

It was clean and rooms were nice. Mine had a great view and beautiful decorated.

Very Good

The design of the hotel is beautiful. Our room was absolutely stunning (we were given a free upgrade because it was our honeymoon). The views from everywhere you look are exceptional. We could not fault the food either - the buffets were tasty and there was a wide variety of options. The food in the cave restaurant and the Japanese restaurant was also good, although both were very quiet and lacking atmosphere.

The staff need extensive training. Some staff members were excellent - Khao at the pool bar, Ibrahim the porter and Rukiaya in the buffet restaurant were friendly, helpful and made us feel comfortable. Unfortunately our interactions with almost everyone else were very disappointing: the drinks service is extremely slow (around 15 mins for two gin and tonics at the pool bar); people take orders and forget to action them; multiple times a day people didn’t understand what we were asking (but did not tell us that or seek to clarify so we received two apple juices instead of Gin and Tonic one day!). Twice in six days our room was not cleaned (no towels or water either) until I called reception. The booking system for the restaurants is completely unnecessary and creates work and stress for guests - this is why they are so empty and lacking atmosphere when you get there. Most importantly, the ‘managers’ create a hostile environment. Two manager at the pool bar in particular (I can provide their names privately if you like) do not appear to be doing any work at all, just loudly criticising the hardworking team members, instructing them in a rude manner, and taking their tips. The hotel has almost got everything right - there are lots of easy wins though that are missing: no-one told us we’d been upgraded (a lovely touch but almost went unnoticed!); there are no paddle boards or water toys; a yoga centre but no yoga classes; a Billiards table but no cue; no signs for anything (we found the mini golf from a review someone else left online!) In twelve months, when all the final pieces have been brought together and the staff are more experienced, this will be an amazing hotel.

Loved this facility. There truly is so much to do, and explore. There is alot of love and time poured into this resort, there are gardeners constantly working on the grounds.

Best resort

This is one of the best resorts I have ever visited. The staff, from the front desk to management, were all incredibly friendly. We arrived quite late, and unfortunately, the hotel was unable to locate our booking, which was frustrating. However, the manager (mahommed) assured us that this issue would be resolved. He made us feel very comfortable and even upgraded our room to one with a sea view, which made our stay at the resort extra special. The food was excellent, and I appreciated the effort that went into preparing the meals.
